Social wellness determines how you relate to others. It encompasses building health, nurturing, and supportive relationships. Part of social wellness is nurturing existing relationships and genuine connections with others. In short, we need people! We may not like people sometimes, but it is a fact that for our well-being we need them. That stated, here are some departments to keep in mind for specific social wellness support.
February is international boost self-esteem month! Who couldn’t use a healthy dose of self-esteem. Take a mental check. Do you say thank you when complimented? Do you look at yourself in the mirror and have realistic views? If the answer to these questions is no, do not despair! Self-esteem is not set in stone. Read on for some tips on how to change negative self-esteem to positive (or at least healthy levels) of self-esteem.
